MR BRITISH ISLES COMPETITION RULES 2017

 
The winner must meet and adhere to the following rules and regulations in order to hold the Mr British Isles title and claim/retain the prizes. The National winner will be required to confirm that he meets the rules of the contest and provide proof of age in the form of an original birth certificate.
The Mr British Isles Competition Rules are as follows: -

 

• The judge’s decision is final and correspondences from contestants will not be entered into.
• Contestants must be born male and a minimum of 16 years of age and a maximum age of 50 years on the date of the final.
• Contestants must meet one of the following requirements, a) Born in the British Isles, b) Have current or previous residency in the British Isles c) Have current or previous student status in the British Isles d) Have Current or previous employment status in the British Isles or the right to work in the British Isles (and where required a valid working visa) or e) Have 25% heritage of the British Isles.
• Contestants can be married and can have children.
• Contestants are permitted to bring a make-up artist and /or hairdresser with them on the night to help them. Contestants can only have one person with them backstage at any time.
• Contestant must never have nor will he during his reign pose nude for any type of photographic or video work which is classed as pornographic.
• Contestant must not have a criminal record or have anything in their background that could bring the contest or its sponsors into disrepute. Contestants must not at any time have been involved in any illegal activities or use of drugs of any nature.
• Contestants agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the Mr British Isles competition.
• All contestants are to behave in a fit and proper manner at all times. Any contestant and/or family member, sponsor or guest showing less than sportsman like behaviour will lead to the disqualification of the contestant. Any contestant and/or family member or guest who attacks or posts negative comments about any other contestant or the organisers of the competition online will lead to the disqualification of the contestant. No refund will be given under these circumstances.
• Any contestant that through their actions brings the competition into disrepute or by their actions uses the Mr British Isles name without permission or passes off the Mr British Isles name or anything similar as their own or damages the name of the Mr British Isles competition will be disqualified. No refund will be given under these circumstances.
• All contestants understand and agree that the Mr British Isles title or any similar variation must not be used without the organisers consent.
• Contestants or their parents must not be involved in the running, organising or management of any other modelling competition or Pageant, without advanced written permission from the competition organisers.
• Contestants must not have a verbal or written contract with any agency or other Model Competition/Pageant organiser that forbids them to work with Mr British Isles during the 12 months of them being the titleholder.
• Contestants will permit Mr British Isles and their licensees the right to use contestant’s photographs for publicity purposes in connection with all Mr British Isles competitions.
• The winner of the Mr British Isles title understands that for one year from the date of the final, his professional affairs as Mr British Isles will be under the sole management of the event organisers and /or their licensees.
• The winner also confirms that she will not give any written or verbal endorsements commercially as Mr British Isles without the expressed permission of the event organisers.
• The winner further acknowledges that all rights for any appearances, endorsements, modelling, promotions, speaking engagements, acting roles, etc. resulting from winning the Mr British Isles title shall belong exclusively to the event organisers.
• The National winner must attend next year’s final to hand over the title to the new winner.
• The National winner must not enter any other Modelling competitions or Pageants for a 12 month period while Mr British Isles.
• The National winner must be available for all personal appearances and modelling / promotional contracts offered to him by Mr British Isles and their associate clients and agents over the next 12 months.
• The National winner agrees to do 10 personal appearances and 5 photo-shoots as Mr British Isles as part of the modelling contract which is part and included in the prize. The cash prize will be paid in stages and will be paid in full once the winner’s obligations are completed. 
• Once a contestant has qualified for the finals of Mr British Isles via a qualifying competition he is not permitted to enter any other Modelling Competition or Pageant within a 6 month period of the Mr Junior British Isles Finals. The contestant is expected to focus solely on The Mr British Isles competition. Any contestant found to have broken this rule will not be permitted to take part in the finals of Mr British Isles and their place will be offered to the next placed contestant at the qualifying event.
• All prizes won by contestants are strictly non-exchangeable. The competition organisers reserve the right to amend and replace competition prizes without prior notice with a prize of similar value.
• The National winner and all the Area Final & Semi Final winners agree to have photographs taken with all of his prizes for use by the sponsors. These photographs may also be published on the Mr British Isles website, social media and the press.
• All contestants must agree to be interviewed by the press (if required) and have their photographs taken for publication in the press, on the internet and social media without objection.
• All contestants must be present at the rehearsals on the day of the competition. Contestants will forfeit their participation in the event of absenteeism.
• We regret that sponsorship refunds and deposit refunds cannot be given under any circumstances.
• Contestants must ensure that the information given on the entry form is true and factual. Contestants found to have given false personal information will be removed from the competition. The organisers have the right to replace selected contestants if they are deemed unfit to participate in the competition and no refund will be given.
• The Competition organisers or any of its employees shall not be held liable for any mishaps, accidents, injuries or loss of property that may arise during the competition.
• The Competition organisers are not responsible for my personal belongings during the event and agree to give all valuables such as money, jewellery and phone to a friend or family member for safe keeping.
• Contestant understands that the event organisers reserves the right to change the dates & location of the Area finals and National final
